I won't use this chemist again
I PRESENTED a prescription at Lloyds Pharmacy in Derby Street, Hanley, the other day for my mum with three items on it.
They were busy at the time and I asked the assistant how long I may have to wait.
"Ten minutes", was her reply. I went back to my car to check something and across to the doctors to make an inquiry, then back to the chemist.
When I returned, I asked the assistant if the prescription was ready. I was told in a surly manner that I'd get it in turn, as other people were waiting.

So I waited and waited, seeing people who had come after me get theirs and leave, so I asked at the dispensing window if the prescription was ready.
There was some searching done and I asked whether they had it, and was told it had been done and collected.
It was not collected by me, so I presumed it was in someone else's medication bag.
I then had to wait again, no apology, and some person has extra medication not prescribed for them. I hope it's no-one elderly with bad eyesight.
Needless to say I won't be giving any prescriptions or indeed any other business to this chemist, and urge everyone to be alert.
Don't rely on what you're given to be correct.

“I have had three incidents with this chemist one of which included a controlled drug. I have complained to head office and on each occasion was told that someone from the chemist would contact me. At this rate I think I will be dead before I get a reply as it has been months. There service is terrible, the staff are surly and have little or no knowledge. If there was another chemist close to where I live I would use that but there is not.”
