MUSIC: Concert promoter and director of Manchester-based PJP, Phil Jones, will be giving a talk on what it's like working with some of the big names in the music world. The free event, taking place at Biddulph Moor Village Hall, tonight – 7.30pm for an 8pm start – aims to offer tips on the sort of things a promoter looks for in acts, and the situations they try to avoid. A special question and answer session will follow.

THEATRE: Former Coronation Street stars Jenny Platt and Eric Potts will appear as Viola and Sir Toby Belch in this year's open-air Stafford Festival Shakespeare production at Stafford Castle – Twelfth Night. Having opened in a specially-built outdoors auditorium last Thursday, the production continues its run this week. For tickets, call the box office on 01785 254653.

THEATRE: Musical Youth Theatre Stafford's production, Narnia The Musical, will be performed at Stafford Gatehouse from Wednesday, July 8, to Saturday, July 11. Performances are nightly at 7.30pm with a 2.30pm showing on the Saturday. Call the box office for tickets on 01785 254653.

BEER FESTIVAL: With Stone's summer programme of events continuing, the Swan Inn's 11th Beer And Cider Festival will begin on Saturday and continue until Sunday, July 12. Meanwhile, this year's Stone Lions' Duck Race and Family Fun Day will take place in Westbridge Park on Sunday.

EXHIBITION: Artists from across Staffordshire are currently displaying their work at Newcastle Museum And Art Gallery in this year's Open Art Exhibition, which runs until July 19. For opening times and further information, call 01782 619705.
