NO TAKEOVER: I have been a member of the Britannia Building Society for over 48 years. I went to the meeting at the Britannia Stadium and listened to Mr Richardson saying it was his idea of a merger, and if it went ahead he would be running it. Is this the same man who, according to the national press, lost our society over £150 million last year. Also advertising for the merger has cost the shareholders even more millions. I say let's vote NO as this will be not be a merger but a takeover and nothing less.
