Football: Castle sparks Oak progress

RICHARD Castle inspired Vernons Oak to a 5-3 victory over My Space which earned the side runners-up spot – and a place in the Leisure Leagues national tournament – in the final Uttoxeter Tuesday six-a-side League standings.

Inta Carling ended the season as champions and will also fight it out for the national title.

But in their final fixture, the champions could only manage a 1-1 draw against Black Swan.
