Next stop Coventry City?
Not getting the chance to see many Port Vale games all the way through this season. Last night's 2-2 draw (away) to FC Wimbledon was a delight to watch (thanks to the internet of course).
Fast moving Vale, commanded by an impressive Doug Loft in midfield (who gave a composed performance) looked good for promotion to League 1.

Besides Loft, the tenacious Myrie-Williams featured on the wing with some pace to feed the hungry for goals and the league's top scorer Tom Pope.
Pope scored a magnificent goal. From a poor Wimbledon back pass, Pope recovered amazingly from a stumble to slot in from a tight angle to add to his expanding goal tally.

It appears that the desire is there from everybody connected to the club to push Port Vale up a notch, where they could be playing one of the big Sheffield clubs or even Coventry City.
Not forgetting that if they do get promoted to League 1, the only way out of that division is through the roof and not the trap door.
