Sunday football: Tweats rescues Chell Heath Knave
GARETH Tweats came to the rescue as Chell Heath Knave picked up a valuable point in the COORS LEAGUE Premier Division.
Anthony Clewes fired Biddulph in front on seven minutes, but Tweats levelled from long-range just a minute later.
Biddulph twice hit the bar, but Chell Heath hung on to move two points clear of the drop zone.
White Horse moved up to fourth in Division One after galloping off with three points against Burslem Valiants.
Brian Johnson, Mark Jordan and Paul Brown scored, with Mitchell Armstrong replying.
Chris Armstrong banged in a hat-trick for Bradwell WMC in Division Two ... but ended up on the losing side.
Hollybush Bentilee won the fixture 6-3 with goals from Mark Muni (2), Carl Gerrity, Anthony Logan, Andy Bird and Craig Heath.
Reza Hormonzi scored four times as Bird in Hand crushed Biddulph 6-1 in Division Three.
Scott Porter (3), Lee Summerfield (2) and Garry McDonald were on target in promotion-chasing Harecastle's 6-0 defeat of AFC Knutton in Division Four.
These matches were the only five to go ahead in the Coors League as frosty pitches affected fixtures around the region.
It was a similar story in the POTTERIES AND DISTRICT LEAGUE, where Goldenhill's Division One defeat of Endon was the only game played.
Martin Moran (2), Lee Newell, Dan Barlow, Carl Boughey and Paul Melvyn scored the goals as unbeaten Goldenhill moved up to second spot with a 6-0 win.
The only game to beat the weather in the LEEK AND DISTRICT LEAGUE was abandoned after 82 minutes.
Foresters and Powys Arms were tied 1-1 when Neil Brown (Foresters) suffered a suspected fracture of both bones in his lower leg and was taken to hospital.
No action was possible in the CITY TRADERS or UTTOXETER AND DISTRICT LEAGUES.
But the CREWE REGIONAL LEAGUE staged four matches ... including a shoot-out thriller.
AC Wickstead knocked AFC Barkode out of the President's Cup on penalties after the game ended 1-1 in extra-time.
Audlem DK grabbed an extra-time winner in the same competition as they beat Express 4-3.
In the Premier Division, Beeston Castle came from 2-0 down to beat Railway Hotel 3-2.
Railway took a 2-0 lead with goals from Adam and Steve Parker, but Beeston Castle fought back with strikes from Buckley, Moss and Abson.
Flying Lady lost 6-3 to improving Salvador in Division One.
Banks (4), Mutch and Darren Heath scored for Salvador, with Ryan Jardine, Wright and Roscrow on target for Flying Lady.
