Stoke City: Pulis sanctions Soares loan ... but Cort is staying out
STOKE City boss Tony Pulis is looking to loan out winger Tom Soares before tonight's transfer deadline.
But he says defender Leon Cort is going nowhere before the January transfer window.
Soares has been linked with a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday, while Cort has reportedly been arousing the interest of Championship pacesetters Newcastle United.
But today Pulis disclosed: "We've got a bit of interest in one or two players, but I only expect one to go out.
"Leon isn't going anywhere. But when the window opens again in January, we'll look at it again.
"Tom needs games and is desperate to play, so we just need to find the right club for him."
Tonight's deadline puts a stop to all dealings until the window re-opens for a month for both loan and permanent transfers on January 1.
