Non-league football: Boast back to boost Biddulph confidence
by Steve Shaw
BIDDULPH Vics joint-manager Mark Bromley says his team will hold no fear when they travel to high-flying Tipton Town tomorrow.
Vics did well to hold high-flying Shifnal Town to a goalless draw last night,
And Bromley is full of confidence they can also do well against Tipton, especially now influential midfielder Chris Boast has returned to the fold after a serving a suspension.
Boast made his return in Monday's stalemate with Rocester.
Bromley said: "I can't wait for the game, although the end of the season has come too soon for us.
"Chris's level of enthusiasm is unrivalled by anybody in our squad but it is recognised collectively among the players."
Midfielder Steve Jones also returns after recovering from a groin injury.
ROCESTER hope to build on Wednesday night's morale-boosting stalemate with Midland Alliance leaders Market Drayton when they travel to Racing Club Warwick on Saturday.
The draw against Drayton follows their goalless draw against Biddulph and an impressive 3-2 away win at high-flying Coventry Sphinx.
Boss Alan Beaman said: "This young squad is beginning to show what is required at this level.
"Drayton are top of the league but we had a strong penalty appeal turned down."
Striker Tommy Smith should return after recovering from a stomach bug. Richard Beech (leg), Martin Gadsby (leg) and Darren Bullock (ankle) are doubts.
MEIR KA, who are second bottom of the Premier Division, will attempt to build on last week's win at home to Coton Green when they travel to third-bottom Bolehall Swifts.
Meir are without sweeper Darren Reaney and striker Andrew Teague, but centre midfielder Ant Byles and striker Nathan Chinn-Shaw are expected to return.
