LYME RC/Swinnerton Cycles riders obliterated the club's record for a four-up team time trial with a 29mph cruise over the challenging Holmes Chapel-Chelford course.
Veterans Barry Charlton (42) and Paul Robinson (46), Andy Bloomer (35) and 18-year-old club newcomer Will Corden clocked an impressive 51.47 to better the two-year-old previous best.
But their time was still only good enough for second place with the 'Shorter Rochford' team coming home first in 49.20.
Lyme's B team of Chris Wilcox, Mark Wynn, Darren Berrisford and Cliff Knox recorded a time of 56.30.
Another Lyme record went in the Central Ladies 25 ... and it fell to a man.
The 11-year-old veterans' best of former member Jim Gresty fell to 57-year-old Knox, who completed the course in a personal best time of 54.32 put him 20 minutes 23 seconds ahead of his veteran's age standard time, a two minutes beating of the old record.
In the same event, comeback rider Darren Berrisford also produced a personal best of 53.45.
PAUL Thursfield (Tunstall Whs/Brian Rourke Cycles) made it two wins out of three with his success in the final TLI Oulton Park race for over-40s.
