Bowls: Staffs women on brink of national semis

STAFFORDSHIRE women's county team will attempt to make it four successive wins when they take on Cumbria tomorrow in the national championship.

Staffs are well placed to reach the semi-finals after taking maximum points from their games against Shropshire, Greater Manchester and North Shropshire.

Silverdale is the venue for the home leg, with the away team making the long trip to the Co-Op Bowling Club in Barrow.

THE Gerald Marsh Potteries Champion Of Champions tournament is being played tomorrow at Milton Recreation Bowling Club, starting at 10am.

It features all last season's champions and average winners.
