More snow forecast to fall across North Staffordshire after overnight accumulations see school closures
MORE snow is set to fall across North Staffordshire this evening and overnight, forecasters are predicting.
It comes after several inches fell during the early hours of this morning, leading to more than 200 school closures and rush-hour disruption on the region's roads and bus routes.
The Met Office's amber weather warning will remain in place until tomorrow, with snow due again today at around 4pm.
Up to 40 centimetres (almost 16 inches) could accumulate on high ground, with as much as 15 centimetres (almost six inches) likely at lower levels.
