The former Melrose Place star checked herself into the Arizona centre on June 19, requesting an "in-depth evaluation of her medication" to receive proper diagnosis and treatment for her problems, according to her publicist Cece Yorke.
"Heather's feeling really great. And she looks beautiful, just radiant," a close friend of the 46-year-old told People.com after seeing her last weekend.
While Heather's recovery is "still in progress", the friend admitted that she seems rejuvenated by her month away.
"She told a really funny story and she laughed from her core. That's when I knew she was going to be fine," the friend continued.
"I think that's the best part of all - it's so nice to hear her laugh."
The Scottish-American actress, who's now seeing former Melrose Place co-star Jack Wagner, has had a tumultuous love life in recent years.
Her marriage to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora ended in divorce in 2006, with him seeking joint custody of their ten-year-old daughter Ava. Soon after, he dated Heather's close friend Denise Richards, which saw the end of the friendship.
