CELEBRATION TIME: College students raised more than £12,000 for a Cheshire charity. The pupils at Reaseheath College celebrated the end of the school year at the student ball on Tuesday.

Members of the Students Association handed over a cheque for £12,076 to BIRD, Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Development, based near Chester.

This year's fund-raising has broken all records. RAG chairman, Verity Taylor, pictured, said: "Although we put an awful lot into RAG this year we were really surprised when we learned we had exceeded our target by more than £1,000."
