THEATRE: A literary love affair is brought to life in Stoke Repertory Theatre's latest production. The play, 84 Charing Cross Road, based on Helene Hanff's book of the same name, tells the story of a struggling American writer who begins a correspondence with the staff of a company of British antiquarian booksellers that was to last for 20 years. The play continues its run until Saturday, March 16. Call the box office on 01782 209784.

MUSIC: The next concert in the Lunchtime Music series at St Paul's Church, Victoria Road, Newcastle, is on Tuesday at 12.30pm. The performers are a group of final year students of Keele University. Admission is free, although donations are welcome. Tea and coffee is available from 12pm.

SING-ALONG: Stoke Youth Musical Theatre Company presents a Sound of Music Sing-Along at the Victoria Hall on Friday. Audience members can join in as much or as little as they want. There is a 30 minute pre-film show during which the host leads the audience through a vocal warm-up.

CHOIR: Audley Male Voice Choir give their annual concert at the Victoria Hall on Sunday. The choir is joined by special guests, tenor Adriano Graziani, and soprano Kishani Jayasinghe. Tickets costing £8-£14 are available from the box office on 0844 871 7649.
