SPACE: The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery hosts an exhibition to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the last visit to the moon. The display, entitled Moon, is being staged in honour of Apollo 17 Commander Eugene Cernan. Visitors will see a selection of space and exploration equipment and memorabilia, including a glove worn by a Russian cosmonaut while in space and a flag which was taken to the moon. THEATRE: Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol continues at the New Vic Theatre this week. Adapted from the novel by the theatre's artistic director Theresa Heskins, the production is being brought to life by the same creative team behind last year's Alice In Wonderland.
