THEATRE: Stafford Shakespeare Festival continues with a production of Romeo And Juliet. Starring Emmerdale's Leah Bracknell, the Bard's most tragic love story is staged in the grounds of Stafford Castle. The play finishes its run on Saturday, July 14. PLAY: Richard Shannon's Sabbat, a drama set around the Pendle Witch Trials of 1612, finishes its run at the New Vic Theatre tonight. Directed by Amy Leach, this production from The Dukes, Lancaster commemorates the 400th anniversary of these notorious events. Tickets cost £10.50–£19.50. PUNK: A day-long fund-raiser in aid of the Douglas Macmillan Hospice takes place at The Freebird in Newcastle from 1.30pm today. Bands including Head Games, Destination Venus, Head Zone and False Alarm will perform. There will also be a raffle and an auction. Admission is £5.
EXHIBITION: Around 100 pictures will be on display at Wood Lane Art Group's annual exhibition. The event takes place at Audley Community Centre today from 10am to 3.30pm. Entrance to the exhibition is free, and refreshments will be available.
