CHOIR: The Barbara Walton Singers return to St Andrew's Church in the Westlands for a gala concert on Saturday. The event, which features internationally-renowned counter-tenor James Bowman, is being staged to mark the end of the choir's 20th anniversary year. THEATRE: Stoke Rep Players turn their hand to nail-biting suspense with NJ Crisp's Dangerous Obsession. The production, which closes the Players' main season, continues its run tonight at 7.30pm. There is an additional matinee performance on Saturday at 2.30pm. Call the box office on 01782 209784.

FESTIVAL: Saturday sees the fourth Stoke-on-Trent Punk and Ska festival take place at The Full Moon in Newcastle. Local bands such as English Dogs, Wasted Life, Biteback, Outl4w and more besides, play from 1pm. Entry is £13 on the door, with a discounted rate for children.
FILM: Thomas Schubert plays Roman in intelligent, slow-burning drama Breathing. The Austrian film, above, follows the story of a young criminal who takes on a part-time job in a morgue in Vienna, where he is faced with a dead woman who bears his surname.
