It's time Pervez packed his bags
COUNCIL leader Mohammed Pervez, below, should write his letter of resignation.
It's not me who is telling him to do this but all the people in Stoke-on-Trent who oppose the perverse building of the new civic offices the council leader wants to spend £55 million on.
He is in office for one reason only – and it's not to spend that amount of money while closing public services.
He seems to think that giving the people a say on the building of this civic building would be too costly.

This is from someone who has approved a £55 million building. It reeks of someone who has too much power.
He knows any consultation with the people would leave him embarrassed because not one person other than his cronies want anything to do with this madcap scheme.
The Civic Centre in Stoke was built in 1992 at a cost of £20 million so why does he want to vacate them and move just up the road in a new £55 million building?
If he feels the need to spend money, he could spend a few million on refurbishing the fairly new offices. There are perfectly good local companies that would do it to an excellent standard.
They could easily put down an excellent plush red carpet in your office so that you could feel important every time you open your door.
However, it's time for him to go. He has shown a complete disregard for local people's feelings.
