It's kick-off for soccer school
NEWCASTLE Town Football Club launches its new soccer school this weekend.
The Saturday Football 4 Fun sessions are open to boys and girls of all abilities between the ages of five and 12.
Football Association qualified coaches will provide expert coaching advice, with the sessions involving a series of skill and fitness exercises followed by a mini-match.
The addition of a sports village to the college meant Newcastle Town FC Junior section could apply for Charter Standard Community Club status, which was awarded in April.
Steve Wilmore, vice-chairman of Newcastle Town Juniors, said: "Our youth section has been going for 10 years, but now we've acquired college facilities we can expand into the community."
Saturday Football 4 Fun costs £3 per session and takes place on Saturdays between 10 and 11.30am at Lyme Valley Stadium.
