It's a dog's life for poor dumped pup
A PUPPY found abandoned on Christmas Eve needs a loving family to give her a new home.
Dog wardens discovered the seven-week-old border collie roaming the streets in West Bromwich.
She was rescued and taken to the City Dogs Home in Bucknall, where she is now being cared for by staff.
Vicky Phillips, owner of City Dogs Home, said: "She is a very sweet little puppy.

"We haven't given her a name yet but she has a lovely nature, – she's very friendly and lively."
Vicky said it was common for puppies to be abandoned by families who bought them as Christmas gifts and changed their minds.
The shelter has taken in about 20 stray dogs over Christmas.
She added: "At this time of year you see more abandoned pets that were intended to be presents.
"We have so many lovely dogs here that need homes.
"Buying a dog should not be a spur of the moment decision.
"Hopefully we will find a loving family who can care for her properly and give her the time and attention a young puppy needs."

“It's the same every year. And that poor little puppy is too young to leave her mother in the first place.”
