THEATRE: The hunt for Stoke-on-Trent's next would-be celebrity is on again tonight in the second heat of Stoke's Top Talent. Jonathan Wilkes will compere the nightly heats and the Grand Final at The Regent Theatre on Saturday, as performers take to the stage each evening before a panel of judges. Starts 7.30pm. THEATRE: Sir Alan Ayckbourn's The Things That Go Bump Season, above, opens at the New Vic in Basford tonight with Life And Beth. The other two plays in the trilogy, which will also be performed on alternate nights over the coming weeks, are Haunting Julia and Snake In The Grass. Susie Blake and Liza Goddard appear in tonight's comedy in which the recently widowed Beth is trying to put on a brave face when the family comes round to celebrate Christmas with her.
