Dean O'Neill, aged 16, from Victoria Avenue, Crewe, said: "BMX is a weird sport. Anything can happen. The pressure was definitely on her. She deserved to win because she is a phenomenal rider. She had a great start but was then unlucky. I thought the gold was hers for sure."

Levi Ashley, aged 16, from Almond Avenue, Coppenhall, said: "I think her confidence was knocked after the first heat. She had so much pressure on her. It was either gold or nothing and it ended up being nothing. I don't think she would have settled for silver."
