“ We regularly eat at The Winking Man, Julies home-made steak & ale pie is a treat, stuffed to the gunnels with steak cooked in properly kept real ale and melt in the mouth tenderness. Mmmm! I can feel another visit imminent. The Karaoke on every other Saturday is truely great entertainment, everyone is so friendly even I get up and have a go. Long Live this great institution and long may I remain institutionalised. ”

“Having recently visited the area on a camper van holiday with my wife and two children, we all agree that this place was one of the biggest highlights of our stay. The owners and staff were extremely welcoming, providing excellent food (with home made chips!) and service. We ate out here for several nights as the food and atmosphere was a cut above the rest, not to mention the views! We plan to return to the area and would definitely recommend The Winking Man to anyone! ”

“Considering this pub has such high ratings i was very dissapointed with the Sunday lunch, it had chewy meat and over cooked veg. The best thing on the day to be honest was the view. We won't be going back.”
