Virgin links train offices at two stations

TWO train stations will undergo minor alterations.

Virgin Trains has decided to merge its travel centre, where people can discuss future journeys, with its ticket office, where tickets can be brought for travel that day, at stations in Stoke and Crewe.

The facilities are usually placed in slightly different areas of a station, but the company believes putting the two together will help them deal with customers better.

A spokesman said: "It will mean people from the travel centre and travel today section will operate from one set of windows."

Virgin Trains has said it won't affect customers and there will be no impact on staff numbers.

The firm was looking to make similar changes at Stafford, but restrictions with the building have put the plans on hold.
