A GRANT of £25,000 is to be spent helping residents keep their homes warm this winter.
The money has been awarded to Staffordshire Moorlands District Council from the Government's Warm Homes Healthy People fund.

MESSAGE: Audrey Leech, of Wetley Rocks, supports the campaign.
The grant will be spent before the end of March. Eligible residents will be able to get financial help for work such as heating repairs, cold alarms, and checks to ensure that homes are winter proofed.
Temporary heating solutions will also be made available while advice leaflets and visits will make sure that people stay warm and safe this winter.
To highlight the help on offer, a roadshow will tour the district to ensure residents make use of the help available to them.
It was at Cheadle Hospital yesterday, with further roadshows taking place at the venue on February 16 and March 1, from 12.30pm until 4.30pm.
It will be at Leek Moorlands Hospital on Wednesday, February 15, from 9.30am to 1pm. Further dates for March are to be announced.
