“I feel very sorry for the people of Ludlow st and their neighbours ! Its not like they haven't had enough to put up with already in recent years, just as things look like they are settling down for a while (as much as they can in a half demolished area) along come British Gas and slap an industrial works site in their front garden, full of trucks, toilets, tools and toiling workers who will have no benifit to them at all! What a fun Summer they have to look forward to!”

“i don't understand why this has to go in Ludlow Street. i live in the area and this is the first i have heard of it. Why has the council let british gas do this ( money springs to mind ). this will only put back any further redevelopment of the area, have we not waited long enough. There is already built a enpty warehouse on clough street up to let , why do they not use this with far better road access . THIS MUST BE STOPPED”

“How much more do the people of this neighborhood have to go through? It is outrages what the council has done, knocking down peoples homes in the name of regeneration. Now putting a noisy, busy, dirty British Gas compound on this tiny, quaint street. I can't believe the stress the local government continues to put on the residents of this neighborhood. Hopefully someone will listen to the collective voice of the neighborhood and stop this compound from going in and turning this quaint, residential street of homes into an eye sore.”

“As I understand it, the planning office HAVE A LEGAL OBLIGATION to inform / consult with local residents before a planning application can be considered (let alone approved).

I suggest that you form an 'action group' and complain (in writing) to your local councillors and the council.

It appears once again that the councils regeneration plan is put on one side in favour of a money making plan.

It seems to me that this land is ideal for houses if it absolutely needs to be built on.”

“Another kick in the teeth for those of us living in this devastation area with no forward thinking whatsoever....as happened when peoples' homes were destroyed with no hope of the purported regeneration.
There are plenty of other plots of land that the council have decimated that this compound could go that are not right outside peoples' front doors, so why here??”
