'Our park is nicer than ever and could be even better'
June Statham, aged 71, of Tunstall, said: "This has always
been a lovely park and I have been coming here for years.
"It got a bit vandalised a few years ago, but I think it's
nicer than ever now."
Mary Stafford, aged 76, from Mill Hill, said: "I have liked
coming here since I was a girl. I particularly like the
fountains near the bowling greens.
"I hope they spend some of this new money on planting more
flowers."
David Giltrap, aged 60, also from Mill Hill, said: "It's
lovely. You can sit in peace in the park and I would like to
see them use some of this money to put boats back on the lakes.
I have great memories of coming here when I was young."
