THE Sentinel once again teamed up with Britannia to recognise Our Heroes.

The campaign, now in its fourth year, aimed to highlight the efforts of people of all ages and from all walks of life.

Chief Executive of The Co-operative Financial Services, Neville Richardson, said: "The awards are a wonderful celebration, a fitting tribute to unsung heroes who are an inspiration to all of us. Britannia remains committed to the local community and is proud to have supported Our Heroes for the fourth year.

The remarkable stories of achievement, courage and determination never cease to amaze - making you feel very humble and proud to be a part of this community."

A glittering gala dinner to honour the winners took place on 22 September - a fitting tribute to everyday heroes who inspire us all.
