Too noisy to be a thief...
DRUNKEN thief Martin Massey was caught pushing stolen scrap metal down a high street in a shopping trolley.
The rattling from the haul, valued at £600, woke a resident in High Street, Talke Pits, who alerted police at 3am.
Massey, aged 20, of King Street, Fenton, then gave police his twin brother's name.
He admitted theft and perverting the course of justice.
Judge Granville Styler gave Massey a three month sentence, suspended for 12 months, with supervision and 200 hours' unpaid work.

“That's two crooks Styler let off in one day, both thieves, and one low enough to try and frame his own brother. Of course, if they were olf men grwing a bit of cannabis to help releive their health problems, he'd have them inside in no time. Nice to know our judges have their priorities in order; punish those who hurt only themselves, and let those who rob others run loose...”
