James Lindop, aged 10, in Year 6, said: "I never thought the workshop would be that good.

"We learnt that violins are one of the hardest instruments to play and what the parts are made out of. I'd like to have a go at playing one."

Fellow Year 6 pupil Shannis Stanley, aged 10, said: "I liked learning about the different parts of a violin and what they are made out of.

"To see the whole orchestra playing is amazing."

Year 5 pupil Chloe Harrison, aged nine, said: "I learnt that if you practise more it will help you get better. It is important for us to learn about music because if you want to be a music teacher you need to be able to talk about different types of music."
