Uni puts on a 'social' event

BUSINESSES in Staffordshire can find out how to make the most of social networking websites at a free event.

Sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are increasingly being used to generate sales and publicity.

Now Keele University Science Park wants to help companies take advantage – and avoid potential pitfalls.

Its Using Social Networking Sites To Develop Your Business workshop includes a brief on what social networking is, how to use it effectively and an in-depth case study.

A science park spokesman said: "There is a certain buzz around social networking sites. Everywhere you look companies are using them to start a conversation with their customers and reaping the rewards of doing so.

The seminar takes place between 8am and 10am on Wednesday, September 9.
