Troublemaker risks prison if he enters pub
South Cheshire magistrates have imposed an Anti-Social Behaviour Order on Lloyd Christopher Turner, pictured, from West Street, Crewe, which bars him from going into any pubs in the Crewe Neighbourhood Policing Unit area.
The ban also extends to pub gardens and patios.
Laura Woodrow, anti-social behaviour co-ordinator for Crewe and Nantwich, said: "Mr Turner has a long history of causing problems in pubs here. Crewe Pub Watch banned him from all the pubs eight years ago. That ban was still in force, but he repeatedly tried to get into pubs.
"Now, if Mr Turner tries to break the terms of the Asbo, he will face court action, including the possibility of a prison sentence."
She added: "Licensees filled in incident report forms detailing some of his attempts to ignore the Pub Watch ban and those forms were vital evidence for the magistrates.
"They helped them reach their decision to approve the Asbo."
The order also bans Turner from being drunk or carrying an open container with alcohol in any public place, threatening violence against anyone and using foul or abusive language in public.
The magistrates approved the application for the Asbo after convicting Turner of being drunk and disorderly in West Street, in September 2008. He was fined £50 and ordered to pay £100 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Inspector Paul Broadhurst, head of Crewe Neighbourhood Policing Unit said: "People are entitled to enjoy a drink and spend their leisure time in a pub without having to worry about violence or abuse from people like Mr Turner."
