Look at life of man famed for aircraft design
The showing will take place at the Film Theatre, in College Road, Stoke, at 7.45pm.
The film was made by Staffordshire University lecturer Ray Johnson, who has set Mitchell's career against the popular music of his day.
Mr Johnson said: "Set in 1937, with Mitchell looking back on his life, this is about Mitchell himself – not the wartime achievements of his remarkable and beautiful aeroplane – so the familiar Battle of Britain and other war footage is not part of this story. However, you will see all the rare film footage of the remarkable first flight of the Spitfire and the Vickers promotional film showing exciting flying footage of the plane being put through its paces before the war."
Professional actor Tim Churchill plays Mitchell on screen, alongside many local performers.
Admission is free.
