Impressive Royal Infirmary

HOSPITAL PRAISE: Recently, I spent a few days in the University Hospital of North Staffordshire for an operation.

I was impressed with the cleanliness, food and especially the care.

All the staff were conscientious and cheerful which created a happy atmosphere in the ward, particularly so in the surgical special care unit where I spent about 24 hours.

I write because I am aware there has been a lot of negative criticism of the hospital and the NHS in general.

From my experience I can honestly say this is unjustified and unfair to the staff who work so hard doing a difficult and responsible job.

The NHS is a wonderful service and should be full appreciated by all.
