Design centre volunteers bid

AN ARCHITECTURE and urban design centre is appealing for people to join its board of trustees.

Urban Vision North Staffordshire is a public sector-funded charity that promotes quality architecture. It provides education and training and drives to raise the design quality of buildings.

The group wants additional trustees, in particular people with experience in architecture and design, finance, human resources, community engagement and business development.

Trustees are expected to give at least half a day each month to attend meetings, contribute to sub-groups and help to manage the centre's legal, financial and employment affairs. They are also expected to contribute their own ideas, experience and contacts.

The group particularly welcomes applications from women and minority groups.
