Bikers camp out in the snow

GIRL ON A MOTORCYCLE: Hundreds of bikers came to Stoke-on-Trent to raise money for Staffordshire's air ambulance.

Around 300 enthusiasts were at Bignall End Cricket Club for the Dangermouse Rally Club's Frozen Nuts Rally. Club chairman, John 'Bones' Jones said: "You come down, put your tent up and have a good time."

Bikers arrived on a variety of bikes and trikes.

The Dangermouse Rally Club, which usually meets at the Roebuck pub in Burslem, hosts two rallies a year as well as attending other clubs' events.

And neighbour Michael Johnson, of Birch Road, was full of admiration for their resilience. The 63-year-old said: "Here we are with the central heating on and they are camping in the snow."
