THE Midlands Air Ambulance has been presented with £1,500 after a fund-raising concert.

Representatives of Uttoxeter Town Council presented the cheque at the charity's Tatenhill Air Base.

The money was generated at the Councillors Summer Concert in August this year.

Styled on the BBC's Last Night at the Proms, the event contained a variety of performances within the grounds of Doveley's Garden Centre.

The money raised was divided between the air ambulance, Dove Valley First Responders, the local Samaritans and Uttoxeter Town Band.

And voluntary paramedic Claire Brooks, who received the cheque, said: "We are so grateful to Uttoxeter Town Council and their generous donation.

"It is only through such donations that we can continue to save lives every day."
