Post office set to close

ROYAL Mail has announced a village post office in South Cheshire is to close temporarily after its sub-postmaster resigned.

North Rode Post Office, near Congleton, will shut from the end of July.

Villagers are being advised to use either Buglawton Post Office, in Havannah Street, or Congleton Post Office, in Mill Street, instead.

Spokesman Sarah Sampson said: "I can assure our customers that we are doing all we can to restore a service in North Rode as soon as possible."
