Crash woman seriously hurt

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision which left a woman in a serious condition in hospital.

The incident involving a black Volkswagen Golf and a silver Vauxhall Corsa happened at 12.50am yesterday, on the A34 Congleton Road at Marton, near Congleton.

The passenger of the Golf, a woman from the Warrington area, suffered serious head injuries and is being treated at Wythenshawe Hospital.

The driver of the Golf, a 43-year-old man from Warrington, was not injured.

The driver of the Corsa, a 23-year-old man from Congleton, was treated for minor injuries.
