Race to help Sport Relief

Thursday, February 04, 2010, 09:20

RUNNERS have been invited to put their name down to take part in a charity challenge.

Leek will host a Moorlands Mile on Sunday, May 21 to raise money for Sport Relief.

And organisers want people to sign up to take part in the event, which is part of the Sport Relief Weekend that runs from the Friday to the Sunday.

The run, which sets off from Birchall Playing Fields at 1pm, will be one of many to take place around the country.

Comic Relief will spend the money raised through sponsorship helping poor and vulnerable people in the UK and across the world's poorest countries.
