TONIGHT catch noisy pop maestros Johnny Foreigner play The Sugarmill from 7.30pm. If you're looking for a taste, check out their seven-track Gin Dagger Cite Her Bar Cut EP which is available for free download from their website. Tickets are available from Music Mania in Hanley for £8.25 on 01782 206000. Alternatively as part of the Tremolo Studios Showcase evening catch the tantalising Six Towns and Stellar Satellite followed by DJ Sweet Jayne playing indie rock tracks at The Full Moon in Newcastle. Entrance is £2.50 on the door to watch the bands from 8.30pm, then £2 from 11pm onwards.

On Saturday, Blue Origin play The Underground from 7pm. The band, who are currently sporting two new members, James 'Bones' Cartlidge and Dan Higgins play nothing but old fashioned rock and roll. Support comes from Anaphearo and The Honour Roll and entrance is £4.50. Alternatively Rock$tar, Headrush and DJ Foxz play The Queens in Basford from 9pm. Rock$tar are described as Europe's number one 1980s rockshow, and have not only supported Graham Bonnet, formerly of Rainbow, but gained high praise from him leading to the band playing several festival slots. This City come to the city of Stoke to play at Harry's Bar from 8.30pm. Compared to Bloc Party, Talking Heads and At The Drive-In, this Brighton five-piece play a unique blend of contagious indie-hardcore combining rugged guitars, disco-punky beats, punchy vocals and heartstring-ripping lyrics. Entrance is free.

The battle of the bands competition continues at The Winking Frog in Hanley with Heat 4, featuring Nothing Special, taking place from 8pm. Entrance is £4 on the door. Alternatively DragonForce play The Victoria Hall from 7pm. Known as one of the UK's most well known and loved power-metal bands, DragonForce formed in 1999 and have shared stages with Iron Maiden and played some of the UK's major venues. Tickets are £16 from the box office on 0844 871 7649.

On Friday original Indie kids The Paddingtons come to The Box in Crewe. The lads exploded onto the music scene back in 2002 and since then have released four top 40 singles and a critically acclaimed debut album First Comes First. Currently the band are preparing to release Shame About Elle, a free single from their album No Mundane Options on November 23. Support comes from local bands The Way, The Academics and The Fortunas. Doors open at 8pm and admission is £7.

Alternatively get ready to see hardcore screamo and nuevo punk rockers Gallows play their sold out gig at The Sugarmill from 7.30pm.
