TONIGHT The Capellas, an exciting local fivesome, who signed to the SONS record label last year, come to The Sugarmill. With support from Stik and Cause An Effect, the doors open at 7pm, and tickets cost £4.50 from Music Mania on 01782 206000. Alternatively the Trentham estate plays host to Wild Clover as part of the Trentham Music Festival. The band are an energetic four piece who play both modern and traditional Celtic material. The Underground in Hanley sees The Blue Collars play another fantastic live set. With support from Bleached Wail, doors open at 8pm and tickets are £4.50 from Music Mania on 01782 206000.

On Saturday, Limehouse Lizzy, the UK's most hard-working and best-loved Thin Lizzy tribute band, are at The Queens in Basford. Expect to hear the cream of Lynott & Co's live tracks, with some classic album songs thrown in as well. Doors open 8.30pm. Tickets are £10 in advance and £12 on the door. Alternatively, anyone who is a fan of The King of Rock and Roll should head on over to The Victoria Hall. Memphis King is regarded as one of the most talented Elvis Presley tribute artists in the world. Together with his acclaimed band Deep South and musical director Mr Bip, they provide an exceptional show reliving the magical memory of Elvis Presley and much more. Tickets cost between £17.50 and £18.50 from the box office on 0844 8717649, the performance starts at 7.30pm.

On Tuesday, four bands take the stage at The Norfolk Inn from 8pm. Join Gandhi's Cookbook, The Trail, Flunkie Chic and Public Refuse for just £3 on the door.

Well established as one of the UK's leading saxophonists, Snake Davis plays the New Vic Theatre on Wednesday.

Having played with the likes of James Brown, Smokey Robinson, Snake Davis can be seen on Tonight with Jonathan Ross as his resident saxophonist. Expect superb dance music with flavours of soul, reggae and dance. At The Sugarmill, you can catch the amazing local band, Everything On Red. In their own words they're 'an assault on the ears and mind'. Everything On Red play fractured retro-electro punk that combines raw emotion and energy with mesmerising changes in rhythm.
