'I'm pleased to say I have not heard of any reports from the Britannia...'
LEADING Stoke City supporters have condemned racism in British football after Potters striker Kenwyne Jones fell victim to abuse.
And some fans say Manchester United fan Howard Hobson should have been hit with a greater fine than the £200 he was handed for shouting racial taunts at the Trinidad-born ace.
Chairman of Stoke City Fans' Forum, Gareth Ekin said: "I think the three year ban is about right, but I think he should have been fined a greater amount.
"It's sad that we are talking about racism in football in 2012. There is no place for racism in football and I'm pleased to say I have not heard of any reports of it from the Britannia."
Bryan Shaw, chairman of the Stoke City Supporters' Club, said: "There is simply no place for racism in football. We all get excited during a game and shout at players and the referee but racist abuse is simply overstepping the line."
