Gordon distracts from scandal that is Government

VILLAINS: Dear old Gordon, or dead man walking, is doing his best to divert our thoughts from the scandal that is Government, and many other MPs, by talking of scrapping the first past the post voting system, knowing full well that this will be consigned to the scrap heap by the next Tory government.

But by talking it up he hopes it will divert us from demanding the sacking of the many bent MPs.

He is also making many promises about cleaning up the system.

How can he make these statements when his number two man Mandelson is far from clean, and his Chancellor has had to repay expenses, and the list goes on.

Lets face it, parliament is totally corrupt and has been for a long while.

No party is divorced from this scandal, even the whiter-than-white Lib Dems, who have been visiting the trough along with both Brown and Cameron.

To clear out the villains means getting rid of half the cabinet, followed by lots of Tories, in essence more than half the honourable members.

But I fear that for all his protestations Cameron will not push too hard, because he is well aware his own bunch of thieves will be implicated.

We are at a sad point in our history, a point almost of no return.

We can no longer boast of being the proud mother of parliaments.

Perhaps we should advertise as giving the best advice on how to fiddle the system.
