Blair's show was just disgraceful

YOU are asking readers what we think of Tony Blair's quizzing at the Iraq inquiry. To put it in a nutshell, disgraceful.

Blair, pictured, was asked if he had any regrets taking the troops into Iraq.

He said, 'I have no regrets over removing the dictator and would do the same again'. The reasons given for going into Iraq – to find Weapons of Mass Destruction and to get Saddam – well, they never found WMD and Saddam was found in a cave in the mountains.

There was no mention about bombing Iraq. Why did they go into Iraq, bombing and killing innocent people? When George Bush and Mr Blair sent troops into Iraq and the bombing started, I watched this on TV. It was awful.

We had 178 soldiers killed in Iraq. Then the troops went into Afghanistan. Why we had to go in I just don't know. We had 250 soldiers killed. We should never have gone there.

I think Mr Blair was just a puppet on a string when he was having meetings with George Bush.

Whatever Mr Bush said, Mr Blair agreed with the decision. What Mr Blair was saying made some of the families very upset. One member of one family said she felt sick just being near to him.

I totally agree with what Mrs Clark said of Mr Blair's testimony. She said she thought it was a bit of a joke, to be honest. Originally it was the Weapons of Mass Destruction and Saddam that they were looking for.

Mr Blair made the inquiry look like he was in a drama.

I think his performance was awful. I have never seen such a performance.

I hope the families will get something out of this inquiry, but I cannot see Mr Blair coming to speak the truth about what went on.
