Carers make jewellery at workshop

Thursday, January 21, 2010, 09:20

Carers came together to take part in a jewellery workshop.

The event at Kidsgrove library yesterday was part of a learning scheme for people who look after others.

Alternative activities include paintball, go-karting, sessions in IT, crafts, music and dance.

Residents will also be able to trace their ancestry during upcoming history sessions.

And digital photography will be the subject of another of the Staffordshire County Council-run events.

The activities are open to carers aged 10 to 30 and will run until the end of next month.

Organiser Gina Wookey said: "These are just taster sessions, but if they are successful there may be more."
