JCB is a manufacturer of construction equipment with its headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire. It was founded by Joseph Cyril Bamford in 1967 and now makes more than 300 diggers, excavators and other machinery all branded with its distinctive yellow-and-black colours. It employs 4,000 people at factories in Cheadle, Rocester and Uttoxeter and a further 3,000 worldwide.
