Silken Strand - A Michelin in the Making?

We were in Leek yesterday and called into the Silken Strand – taken with the Menu, we decided to eat in their Restaurant. I was amazed at the quality of the food we were given. The “Chump of Lamb” was absolutely delicious and its presentation faultless. My wife had decided on the Chicken, which she devoured with the great enthusiasm. When she was done, the whole plate was sparkling, with the appearance of having been professionally cleaned. The Staff were very friendly, polite and welcoming. We should be in the area again in about two weeks and we are both looking forward this time to sampling all three courses. In the meantime, we are still debating as to who should drive, as she took a liking to the House Red and I developed a fondness of the Domesday Bitter. I may have to resort to bribery…………….
