Man bailed after suspicious death (UPDATE)
ONE teenager has been bailed after the death of an alcoholic.
The 18-year-old was among six men questioned after John Clarkson, known as Elvis because of his habit of singing Presley songs while drunk, died in hospital on Sunday after being attacked in the street in Stoke-on-Trent. He was bailed pending further inquiries.
Five men, aged 18, 21, 22, 23 and 24, were arrested, but released without charge.

“Anon, Hanley said "When is someone in charge going to wake up and realise that estates like Crackley and Chell Heat need peace walls around them to keep their vermin in?" Why would you pencil-in the majority of law-abiding decent people who live on council estates along with what you call vermin? I live on Norton estate and find your comments rather ignorant and offensive. I've worked all over the country on private-owned, private-rented and council run properties and generally find very little difference between them all. There are good and bad no matter what the demographic. I do know that in the past the council have put bad tenants together on many estates but this policy (I am told) no longer exists. The salient factors surrounding anti-social behaviour will, of course, be more prominent in communities where unemployment and poverty are high. Recently I have seen an increase where ex-council properties have now been purchased and then subsequently rented out to what I can only describe as undesirable tenants. These dysfunctional families would never get past the criteria and scrutiny adopted by the council these days.
Anon you suggest 'someone in charge' should build a wall around vermin council estates - who would that be? Any suggestions? This is one very short step towards a fascist existence yet you probably know that already.”
