Free tuition if you dress up

FAIRIES, pirates and action heroes are expected to be among the visitors to a pottery firm this half-term.

Emma Bridgewater, in Hanley, is celebrating the school holidays by hosting a dressing-up activity week at its cafe and decorating studio.

Any children who visit the studio dressed as their favourite character between February 15 and 21 will receive free decorating studio time, a gift and tuition from the decorating studio's team.

Decorating in the studio normally costs £2.95.

The decorating studio, shops and cafe are open between 9.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10am until 4pm on Sundays.

However, the site will be closed all day on Friday, February 19 because of a private function.

Free tours of the Victorian factory will also be on offer.
